Record-Breaking Explorer Inspires Students at The Kingsbrook School
Students at The Kingsbrook School were treated to an unforgettable visit from record-breaking adventurer and motivational speaker Alex Staniforth. Alex, known for his incredible expeditions to Mount Everest and beyond, captivated Year 8 and 9 pupils with tales of his journeys and the powerful mindset needed to overcome adversity.
Drawing on his own experiences of resilience, perseverance and mental strength, Alex encouraged students to embrace challenge and believe in their potential—no matter the obstacles they may face. His visit left pupils feeling inspired, uplifted, and ready to push their own boundaries.
As part of the visit, Alex also had the honour of presenting a national Outward Bound Award to one of our pupils, Harvey-John, in recognition of his outstanding individual achievement and teamwork on this year’s Scotland residential trip. It was a proud moment for the school community, and we congratulate Harvey-John on this well-deserved accolade.
